Being able to get cash on the go from an ATM is pretty convenient. However, those machines have also caused some people to attempt to break into or steal them in an illegal get-rich-quick scheme. Don’t think so? Take this recently posted TikTok video as a perfect example. The clip has around 2K likes and 66K views, as this California man can be seen getting arrested for attempting to break into an ATM machine.
Unfortunately, the TikTok video would start off with the action already underway, as the viewers can see the man slamming some kind of heavy object into the glass screen of the ATM. The glass, of course, shatters everywhere, causing the California man to put his arms up and back away from the mess he just made. However, he can then be heard telling the person recording that his “Favorite Sheriff” just showed up.

The TikTok comment section also had a lot to say regarding what they had just witnessed unfold, as many users would rush to leave behind their own thoughts and jokes. “Why are you cheering him on?” asked one. Another pointed out, “I’m sorry, that is a felony.” “You started that video at the perfect time,” said one more. A different commenter then joked, “He was so high he hit his balance inquiry.” Finally, one last person’s comment also read, “I liked that you were his hype man!”
The camera would then pan over to the street as a police cruiser can be seen pulling up to the scene of the crime. The California man who broke the ATM then begins to yell at the law enforcement officers, “It wasn’t giving me my money!” regarding the ATM. The person recording also tells the man that he did it “Right at the wrong time.” As he walks over to the police, the man can also be heard saying that he is “Dang guilty.”
The TikTok video would then come to an end with the California man getting yelled at by the police officers to get on the ground. Yet, the man seems pretty intent on arguing with the cops, which is never a good idea for the most part. At the end of the day, this was not a very smart thing for this man to do, especially right in front of the police. Hopefully, he is able to get whatever help he needs following this encounter.
