Jon Gosselin’s relationship with his family has been making headlines for years. Following his divorce from Kate Gosselin, the former “Jon and Kate Plus 8” stars went their separate ways and it was ugly. The divorce was a messy one, with the couple’s eight children, Maddy, Cara, Leah, Hannah, Alexis, Collin, Aaden, and Joel living primarily with Kate.
After years of bad blood between Jon and Kate, fans were shocked when their daughter, Hannah, opted to move out of Kate’s home and live with her father. After celebrating her 18th birthday, Hannah and Jon sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight. During the chat, Hannah revealed that she always had a strong connection with Jon, despite her parents’ issues.

“It’s a lot, growing up in a very busy household with lots of kids. And there’s not really a one-on-one relationship, for attention, that you have with your parent,” Hannah confessed. “I felt like my dad gave me that attention and a feeling like I had a good solid relationship with a parent.”
Hannah now lives with Jon in Pennsylvania, while Kate and her other siblings live in North Carolina (via Hollywood Life). However, she admits that it’s been hard to be away from her brothers and sisters. “It was a difficult decision leaving my siblings I did not want to be separated from them or even, like, live in a different household than them,” Hannah stated. The teenager also added that she felt like she was treated unfairly while living with Kate. “I just feel like there was unfair treatment in my mom’s house and I just wanted to live with my dad,” Hannah said.

As for her relationship with Kate, Hannah says that she is in contact with her mother. “I mean we don’t really speak on a basis of, like, ‘Oh, how’s your life going?’ It’s more like day-to-day, ‘Oh how’s your day?’ But I’m pretty sure she’s doing well,” Hannah said. “And I’m sure my siblings are doing well too.” Hannah also says that Kate wished her a happy birthday on her special day. “She just, you know, wished me a happy birthday. You know, told me she loved me and it was great an average birthday text,” the former reality TV star confessed.
Only time will tell if Hannah Gosselin will decide to speak out more about her relationships with her parents. However, fans who watched the teen grow up on television would surely be interested to hear her story.
