Many animal lovers have wished that they could speak to their furry friends. However, A woman in Florida wanted to get to know her dog a bit better, so she decided to take things to the next level by contacting a pet communicator.
Allison Thompson took to her TikTok account to share her experience, and even revealed what her adorable dog wanted to tell her via the communicator. Some of the things her doggy, Cashew, had to say included that he’s nervous about being left alone, he doesn’t like being told when it’s time to go outside, he only wears clothes because it makes his mom happy, and he loves kids.
Perhaps the most helpful thing that Allison got out of the experience is that Cashew wasn’t happy with his diet. Allison revealed she has been feeding Cashew turkey, but that he claims he doesn’t like it. Instead, he wanted a different meat with a fried egg added into the mix. “He hates turkey,” she wrote.
In a follow-up video, Allison told viewers that Cashew had stopped eating his regular meals. So, of course she tried something new, the exact meal he told the communicator he wanted. Once she made him hamburger meat with egg mixed in, he gobbled up his dinner.
Is it safe for dogs to eat hamburger?
Many dogs have a love for table scraps, crumbs that fall in the kitchen, and little treats from their owners, but is giving a dog hamburger actually safe? According to Mondrian Contreras, DVM, dogs can eat hamburger. However, it has to be cooked, as raw meat contains bacteria. In addition, it also has to be cooked in a way that makes it easy for them to digest.
“A plain, fully cooked hamburger is the best option,” Contreras tells Daily Paws. “Avoid patties with added salt, onions, garlic, or other potentially toxic spices.”
“High fat content is a well-established risk factor for pancreatitis in dogs,” Contreras added. “We are unsure exactly how high fats cause pancreatitis, but we believe they overwhelm the pancreas, potentially leading to cell damage and inappropriate enzyme release, causing inflammation (pancreatitis).”
What else can dogs eat?
When it comes to sharing what’s on our plates with our canine companions, there are a few other delights that the pups may love. Foods such as strawberries, bananas, apples, peas, carrots, and green beans are also safe to give to dogs.
So the next time you’re at a barbecue or picnic with your pet, you may want to remember the rules of what is safe for dogs to eat, and what you might want to avoid to upset their delicate stomachs.

For Allison and Cashew, their time speaking with a pet communicator seemed to be in good fun. Allison says she learned a bit more about Cashew’s likes and dislikes, and realized that he was tired of his usual dinner time routine.
